Year 2 Day 65

Friday, of CIT! Woohooooo! :)

Physics started off the morning.

Chapel was packed! All of the teams were there, and it was a fun kick off to the tournament. It's so cool to host this tournament.

I had a break to do some homework in Janzow top before going to Faith and Life. We had a really great discussion on Humanism. Most of it was over my head, but I like those conversations.

After class came lunch. It wasn't as packed as I thought it would be, so that was great.

After lunch came Interp. I love that class.

I hustled back to my room to get ready to work the games, and I had a minor freak out because I couldn't find my bracelet to get in. I found it then and calmed down. Man, that could have been bad.

I then worked stats for the rest of the games that day, which was 3 of them. Our girls crushed Concordia Chicago, and our guys won but should have won by more. It was fun to watch though.

My brain was definitely fried after that. It takes a lot of focus to do three games in a row, holy man.

Audrey, Taylor, Ben, Cody, Montana, and I went to McDonald's afterwards. Then we all went back to Ben's room to play NBA 2K. I kinda like that game haha.

I definitely fell asleep right away, as Taylor and I put High School Musical 3 in and fell asleep out there.

Year 2 Day 64

Thursday morning began with fitness testing.

It went really well personally, but our team average was not quite up to par. It will improve by next time though.

After testing came Weight training, chapel, Physics lab, and Differentiated Instruction.

The afternoon was definitely spent lounging around, taking a nap, and watching Downton Abbey. I didn't really have anything I needed to do, so I just accidentally fell asleep. We watched The Notebook at the end of the afternoon before going to dinner.

After dinner...dang it, I need to write these daily OH yes, it's all coming back to me now. Taylor and I ate dinner with Audrey while she was working in the game room, and we decided to play ping pong. I am sadly admitting that she beat me 3-0. I will hopefully get her next time!

We came back to our room to do some homework before heading to work/play Intramurals. It's 6v6 Girl's volleyball. On my team is Melissa, Emmalynn, Taylor, Marcie, and Annalisa. We lost both of our games, but it was really fun! That's all that matters, right? :)

After working, I hit the hay. I was beat.

Year 2 Day 63

Wednesday.

I got to sleep until 7:30 today. That's a plus.

We had Physics this morning, then I went to Chapel.

We didn't have Faith and Life today, so I didn't have class again until 1:00. I got some serious work done in Janzow Top.

I then went to Interp and Science of Everyday Things, before going to HPAC and doing the elliptical for awhile. It felt good to loosen up and prep for 300s tomorrow.

I came back to do some homework before eating dinner and heading to night class.

Let's be honest here. I like this class, but 2.5 hours of sitting in the same seat is not my favorite thing to do.

I came back after night class, and I don't exactly remember if I did anything. Nope, I definitely just went to bed.

Year 2 Day 62

Tuesday. Man, today was long.

I woke up to my alarm at 5:30 for soccer practice. That's really early.

We had practice, then had lifting. It wasn't too bad at all. I'm happy about getting back to an exercise routine.

After lifting, I ate breakfast, then went to Weight Training. Basically, from now on that class will be really easy since I won't have to lift during it at all. We will learn the stuff at the beginning, then read articles while biking or running on the treadmill. It will be pretty great.

After weight training came chapel, then finally a shower. That felt amazing!

I got ready, then went to do some homework.

I then ate lunch, and went to Differentiated Instruction.

After class, I did some homework, read some of my assigned readings, watched some Downton Abbey, almost fell asleep but didn't, then eventually made it to dinner.

After dinner, Audrey and I went to Fidelity, where we are talking about who Jesus is. I like the topic, it's going to be fun.

After Fidelity, Taylor and I watched Pretty Little Liars...with the lights off! It was so intense!!!!! Ahhhh!

The night ended with the CIT Pep Rally. President Friedrich definitely did the Gangnam Style dance the basketball teams put together, and he was wearing this awesome sky blue suit top. There's a video on Facebook. It was definitely the best thing I have ever seen.

Our president is so cool. Pretty much, my school rocks. ♥

Year 2 Day 61

Back at it again on a Monday morning.

Except it really wasn't back at it because I was up early, ready to go, ate my breakfast, then got to Physics and found out Royuk had the flu and didn't have a chance to email us. Which meant I didn't have two of my classes today. I'll take that I guess. I definitely got some work done in that off time.

I went to chapel, then stayed to listen to the MLK day speaker. His name was James Brooks, and he was quite the lively speaker. He is the pastor at a church in Lawndale community, which is outside of Chicago. The community experiences some of the most horrible statistics out there, but he said the way he sees God working through the situation is remarkable.

Because we had that speaker, I didn't have Faith and Life class today. So I got some more work done before eating lunch.

Interp ended my day of classes, and we picked our Exegetical verses today!!!!! Psalm 27 and me are about to become really tight. I love that one :)

After Interp, we had a quick iPad meeting where we compared apps, then I went to the computer lab to make the IM 6v6 volleyball schedule.

We had a captain's meeting, then went to play soccer with our recruit, Christine. She was pretty good. Got over her nerves pretty quickly, so that was good!!

Dinner, then soccer practice ended the night. It was great to get back into the swing of things. We also got our laundry bags back!!

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

Year 2 Day 60

Sunday morning began with church at 8:30 at St. John, as is typically usual of us. I went with Lou, Audrey, and Katie. Taylor went to Lincoln for Room 211 with Montana, Cody, and Ben.

Before and After lunch, I got some reading and organizational work done, which was nice.

I went on a bike ride with Montana, while Ben was running in front of us. It was quite cold outside. The temperature dropped severely from yesterday's 59 and sunny.

I ate supper, then came back and watched Once Upon A Time. We have to wait 3 weeks for the next episode!! Darn. Stupid Pro Bowl and Super Bowl.

More homework, then Bible study and a hall meeting topped off the first of Sunday of the semester.

We pick our exegetical verses tomorrow :) I am excited!!

Year 2 Day 59

I definitely slept til 10 solidly today, and it felt amazing.

I worked outwith Lou after we ate breakfast. It was a good lift.

I ran back to my room and showered quick before going to Lincoln with Courtney, Allie, Erica, and Maddy for Courtney's birthday. We had Cheddar's for lunch, and it was really good and not expensive at all!

We then went to Barnes & Noble, Target, and Scheel's for some things Courtney and the other girls needed.

After returning to the dorms, Audrey, Lou, and I went to Lindsea's with Kim, Montana, Taylor, Carli, Amber, and Michala. We ate pizza, played CatchPhrase, and played Spoons! Woohooo. I love Spoons!!

After that, Audrey and I returned to our room to watch The Sound of Music with Katie, who had never seen it. Ben, Cody, and Ryan came and watched it too.

I was definitely falling asleep during the movie. I was beat.

You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. Romans 5:6-7

Year 2 Day 58

Friday, Friday.

I love my Fridays. I had Physics in the morning, then got my normal 10:00 break after chapel. Definitely enjoyed me some Chai during that time! I also called my daddy to wish him happy birthday!

Faith and Life was next, and we had a really good discussion on Worldview.

At lunch I was showing Em the app I got on my iPad for note taking. Then she became an artist by coloring on my drawing app. The picture was pretty sweet!

After lunch I had Interp. We pick our Exegetical verses on Monday :) And by pick, I mean pick them out of a hat. I am so excited!

After class, I played some wall ball with Em and Jordan.

After dinner, we chilled in our room, I sang happy birthday to my Dad via FaceTime.

We chilled and watched tv for awhile before going to Subway for Ben and Montana to get food after their track meet.

Finally, we ended the night in our room watching Pitch Perfect. It's still funny.

Year 2 Day 57

Finally caught up on blogging! #success

Today started with weight training, and this time we got a good lift in, so that was nice.

I showered quick, then headed to chapel.

After chapel came Physics Lab. There are only 8 people in my lab, so it's going to be pretty fun. Also, pretty relaxing. My lab partner seems pretty cool, so that's exciting.

After lab came a quick lunch before my Ed class.

I ran some errands, wrote some letters, sent my dad's birthday card, and got some reading done before going on a run with Lou and Taylor. It was a pretty good run followed by some solid abs. Now I said this is like every blog post last year, but I really want a six pack. So I think I am going to make that my official goal.

We ate dinner, then went to the Phonathon meeting. It will be cool to participate in that. Plus, you get paid! Booyah!

I came back to my room to watch MN get beat by Michigan at the Barn. Darn. Oh well.

Then I began updating my blog and have been doing this ever since! I am so glad I finally got caught up. Now I need to watch the two episodes of Downton Abbey to keep up with that show. I haven't seen the beginning of season 3.

Year 2 Day 56

Wednesday.

Physics started the day, then came chapel.

I got a new app on my iPad for taking notes, and let me tell you, it's pretty amazing. So what I do is download the powerpoint for the class, then upload it to my note taking app, and then use my stylus to take notes on it! It's pretty legit! No more paper for me!

I sat and chatted with Tori for awhile, and met a new student named Katrina who transferred here from Concordia Chicago. She seems pretty cool.

I then went to Faith and Life, and lunch followed that.

Interp and Science of Everyday things followed that. Yep, those classes are going to be fun!

I chilled in the room doing this and that before eating dinner and working out with Lou.

I then had night class...Meteorology and Oceanography. It's pretty interesting, not going to lie, but I have never had a night class. Only night lab, which typically entails moving around. This was sitting still for 2.5 hours of talking about the weather. I was so tempted to be on Pinterest the whole time, but I resisted the urge. Who knows how long I can withhold on that tempation however. The nice thing is Amanda is in the class with me, so that makes it better!

Yeah. Now I can safely say I am going to love all of my classes this semester.

Year 2 Day 55

Tuesday began with a soccer meeting bright and early at 7:15 a.m. We got our schedule additions and found out when 300s were, etc.

Then came breakfast and weight training with Harms! I am going to love that class.

I then headed to chapel. After chapel, I have nothing until my Differentiated Instruction class at 12. So I definitely sat in Janzow top doing my homework/reading for 2 hours or so. I am going to love my Tuesdays, that is one for sure thing.

Opfer for another Ed class, booyah!! Emmalynn and Melissa are in the class with me, so it is going to be a good one.

That's it for Tuesdays. They are going to be the best day ever.

I then went to workout with Lou before our captain's meeting. The meeting went really well.

After the meeting came dinner, and after dinner came Pretty Little Liars!

Then some more reading/homework and chilling in the room. Too bad all of the relaxing will soon end when the real homework starts haha.

Year 2 Day 54

Yay! First day of the semester! Holla!

I am so excited for my classes.

The morning is kicked off bright and early with Physics. I like it in the morning.

Then comes chapel, although today I had an Intramural meeting.

After chapel I get a break to do homework. Which I obviously didn't do today since I didn't exactly have homework yet.

Then I have Faith and Life. My mind is going to expand greatly with this class. Reek is the professor. And he's pretty rocking. I am so excited.

Then comes lunch.

Then comes Interpretation of the Psalms. I will have to write my 25 page exegetical in this class, but it's going to be so much fun to learn everything. Ahhh!

Then comes Science of Everyday Things. It's an iPad class where I will learn all about how to incorporate science with the iPad. Perfect for being a teacher, right? Right!!

Yeah. So pretty much, I love all of my classes so far. This is gonna be great.

After class I returned to my room and then got ready to go workout. The weight room was packed when I went! It was insane!!

I then went to eat supper, and returned to my room for the rest of the night. I think maybe I started some of the reading I need to do, but I probably didn't. I can't quite remember.

Year 2 Day 53

Sunday, Sunday!

Church was great! It's cold outside! Brrrr!

I came home and loaded up my car to hit the road eventually. Time to get back to Seward!!

I started watching The Iron Lady. Pretty good movie. I didn't get to see the end though because I had to leave.

I'll miss you family, Buffalo, kitty, and my bed. I will be back in 7 weeks or so!

I made a Personal Record in 6 hours and 45 minutes. I listened to The Notebook. It was a really good book. Now I want to watch the movie. Next up, finishing my Francine Rivers book.

I know I am going to miss my family and home and everything. But I got a little excited when I saw the Seward sign. I love my second home :)

We got back to campus right as the clock struck 6. I was really hungry by this point. I unpacked my stuff while watching Once Upon A Time. I was so happy I got all of my stuff unpacked by the time Taylor called me to help bring in her stuff. It felt good to get organized for the semester before any of my roomies returned.

Taylor got back around 8:45, and Lou and Audrey around 10. It was party in our room after that. Man, everyone all in one place. I wasn't completely ready for the volume level at this point. I will get there though. I love my friends :)

Year 2 Day 52

Saturday yay!

Shopping with my mom and sissy :) We went to Plato's Closet, Target, Old Navy, and Goodwill. I found a pair of skinny jeans and Plato's Closet, and they fit! Holla!

We then went to the Bison girls game at home verse Anoka. They played okay, but not their greatest and ended up losing by 10.

After the game, we went to get Applebee's for supper. I feel like I have lived at this place this week haha. Three meals here, not too shabby! :)

My mom and I hit up Walmart afterwards so I could get some things I needed for school this semester. I didn't end up needing all that much, so that was nice.

I then started getting my things ready, reloaded my iPod with music, and watched Pitch Perfect for the billionth time. #stillfunny

Year 2 Day 51

Today, I slept in and it felt amazing.

I watched 7th Heaven pretty much all day. Well that means about 3 hours.

I then went to workout for the last time this break before heading to school.

Then I came back and got ready to go into the cities with Emily and Laura to visit Kayla :)

Kayla's apartment/house is so cute!! She made us yummy supper and it was delicious! I had a great time catching up with those three :) It always involves lots of laughing.

But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. Philippians 3:7-8

Year 2 Day 50

Teacher for a Day part 2 was today.

I spent the whole day in Rachel's classroom. I can't wait to get my own classroom! I want my own students! Ahhh!

One of the girls in Rachel's class I got the chance to work with 1v1. Man, is she angry with the world. She's a really bright girl. Apparently when she is in a good mood she is always the first one to answer all of the in class questions. But when she is angry about something, man, she just shuts down. It's hard not to feel like they are angry with you. I enjoyed being able to be patient with her and help her understand the Chemistry.

I am so happy I get so be a teacher someday ♥

After school, I got to help out with basketball! The 8th graders were coming over to scrimmage the 9th graders, so I got to coach the 8th graders. Booyah! I already knew most of them, and some of them knew me, so that was great. I love remembering people's names. It makes them feel like I care to know them. At least I hope it does.

I also got to be on the scout team for the Varsity. Kyll told me Sorenson said the girl they would be playing against was like a 6'2" Rachel Mussell. That pretty much made my day. I miss basketball so much. It was fun to get back into it. I love playing.

After returning home, I sat around before Eric came to pick me up for our "date".

We went to Applebee's and then went to his house and watched Prince of Egypt and Enchanted. I love those movies.

Tonight definitely reassured my confidence that the past is long in the past. There's no reason why I should even consider digging it up again.

And plus, I think I've got something a million times better in my future :) We shall see though. I will wait for God's timing, and hope that I'm right about this one :)

Year 2 Day 49

Today was great. I was a teacher for the day :)

I got up and prepared my teacher clothes. Then headed up to school.

I helped out Greeley with some correcting in 2nd block.

In 3rd block, I helped Busch's class, Arts Infused Chemistry.

Then 4th block, I was pretty much on my own. I taught the class by myself. Busch had a sub that block because she had a departmental meeting, so the sub (who was Pasche, a retired math teacher from our high school) just pretty much read the newspaper the whole time while I taught and helped them with lab :)

It was pretty fun!

I chatted with Rodenwald a bit during AAA, then went to do my workout quick.

I definitely worked out quick, so that was nice!

I chilled at home for awhile before heading to Youth Group with Leah. My DCE told us she was pregnant, due in July :) The sad part about that is she won't be going to Texas with us! Darn :(

After Youth Group, I went and had half off apps with Olivia, Michelle, and Courtney. Man, it's always fun when I hang out with them :)

Year 2 Day 48

Today, I definitely did absolutely nothing. And by absolutely nothing, I really mean absolutely nothing! Oh that makes me remember what I did yesterday! I planned my schedule for the semester :)

Anyways. My car was getting the oil changed today, so I just sat around the house.

Carpe Diem. It's the more sophisticated version of YOLO. I like it.

By the end of the day, I was playing the Wii by myself. That will give you a general idea of how bored I had gotten with my typical activities haha.

Oh, but I got to watch Pretty Little Liars with my sissy! It was a great episode!!

Year 2 Day 47

Honestly, this is really terrible. I can't remember what I did this day.

I do remember I slept in really late. Then I probably watched some tv. Then I know for sure I went to workout. But ya know, after that I couldn't quite tell you. Oh yeah! My sis and I watched Once Upon A Time. I remember that now.

I hereby vow to keep up with this better after today's mighty catchup.

Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On that of observing the law? No, but on that of faith. For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law. Romans 3:27-28

Year 2 Day 46

Sunday, Sunday.

Church at 8:00 and getting a chai tea with my momma afterwards. Yum!

I'm pretty sure we watched Downton Abbey for awhile in the early afternoon. I may have dozed off for awhile.

My mom and I headed to St. Cloud to go to Kohl's since I had gotten a gift card there. Although they had a lot of clearance, I didn't find much. I got a shirt and some really cheap shorts. $2.55. Winning right there!

We bummed around Barnes and Noble to kill time, where I was tempted to buy the whole book of Shakespeare. It was only $8! There are so many books I could buy!!

We then went to watch my sissy play soccer in the St. Cloud Dome. I also ran into Steve, my high school coach, watching their games as well. It was great to see her play. We brought her friend Chloe home afterwards, and let me tell you, she is the most hilarious person I have ever met. And it's all unintentional. That's what makes it the best haha.

I was starving by the time I got home, and it was terrible how crabby I was.

Year 2 Day 45

Today, I watched the Rodenwald kids. That's always a blast! We watched some shows, then headed to Junior Bison for Annie and Danielle to play their games. Brandon played on the iPad the whole time. I was ran into Mr. Cox for the first time since graduation probably. It was cool to hear about what he has been doing with his new job, since he is no longer a teacher, but working for the district in the Gifted Ed programs.

After Junior Bison, we came back home to eat lunch and play Mario Kart. We definitely played the Wii for the rest of the afternoon. It was pretty great!

After babysitting, I came home for awhile before going to my Bible Study reunion at Rachel's house. It was great to see Angela, Amanda, Erika, Jamie, Sabrina, and Nicole. We had yummy soup and watched a Hallmark movie.

I love Hallmark movies.

Year 2 Day 44

Friday, Friday

Well, I gotta think hard since I haven't updated in like a week. Today I woke up and chilled around home before going to workout.

After working out, I came back and showered before going to Les Mis with my mommy and sissy! It was incredible! I want to buy the album and listen to it on repeat now!

After the movie, we came home in just the perfect amount of time for me to hop in with my brother as he headed to Olivia's to hang out with her and her friends from school. We watched Pitch Perfect. And it's even funnier the 3rd time. I love that movie haha.

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.

Year 2 Day 43

Well, today I slept until 11 on accident. Oh well.

I then went upstairs and made beer bread for dinner while catching up on Downton Abbey.

Then I went to workout. I got to play some hoops too, since they needed one more player. That was great.

I came back home and ate dinner, yummy beans and hamburger!

Then I went ice skating with Emily and Taylor :) The ice was pretty smooth, so my skates worked well! It was fun! Then we went to McDonald's and had hot chocolate and played Movie Connections for a long time. It was great to catch up with them.

But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you. Psalm 5:11

Year 2 Day 42

Wednesday.

This morning, we had our College Youth Group Perkin's breakfast! It was great to see all of them. Kelly bought us all breakfast, and it was yummy!

Hmmm. What did I do after that. I watched some Boy Meets World because my mom had already gone ahead in Downton Abbey, so I decided I would catch up later.

Then, I went to the high school to workout. It was great to get a full legitimate workout in. I lifted, and it felt really good.

Plus, I got to see Greeley's ring! :)

After supper, I went to Youth Group with Andrew and Leah.

Then came back and watched an episode of Downton Abbey before Leah had to go to bed hahaha.

Year 2 Day 41

New Year's Day definitely meant sleeping in.

I woke up and watched Downton Abbey with my mom and sis.

Then later, Rachel called me to see if I wanted to come help her with stuff in her classroom. So I did, and that was fun. I can't wait to have my own classroom.

After that, I watched more Downton Abbey.

Sounds like a fantastically productive day, haha.

Year 2 Day 40

New Years Eve. Where did this year go?

This morning started off with the Alumni Basketball Scrimmage. I miss basketball. But I haven't lost a beat. In fact, I may have gained a few :) I got to play with Miranda most of the day, so that was really fun. She is still as great as she was when she was a senior.

Afterwards, I came home to help clean for people coming over tonight. And we watched more Downton Abbey. Yep, I like that show.

Liv came over around 3:30, and her dad came around 6. Bjork's came around 6:30. We had yummy food, and it was great to see Rebekah. We definitely had our laughs.

I stayed up to watch the ball drop, then hit the hay. I was dead tired!

I don't know that I can summarize my year in more words than simply this: I am blessed.

I go to an amazing school, where I have a great team, wonderful friends; my family is healthy, I have a home to come home to, I have found success (even though I am still trying for that 4.0, gosh dang it), and I have grown in my faith.

I don't really think I can ask for anything more than that ♥

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. Colossians 2:6-7

Sunday, Sunday.

What did I do today?

Oh yes. I went to 8:00 church. Then came back and watched some Downton Abbey, I believe. That show is addicting, let me tell you.

After, I went to babysit Erica and Vanessa :) I love those two. They are my favorite. We made this incredibly awesome snow fort, and were outside until the sun began to set. I definitely got my fresh air!

After babysitting, I went to get some half off apps with miss Calli :) It's always great catching up with her.

Be not afraid, O land; be glad and rejoice. Surely the LORD has done great things.

Year 2 Day 38

Well, it's about time I update this.

Saturday, Dec 29.

We had Mussell Family Christmas, and took some good family pictures. I haven't seen my grandma in awhile, so it was great to see her. I also got to see my godmother, and my Aunt Janet, who I write to when at school. She's great.

Basically, I love my crazy, chaotic, insanely loud family. But really. We are really loud.

Oh, and I got to see my cousin Winter too :)
